I wasn't putting down his decision. I paraphrased his explanation of
the reason for the decision he made in the way it sounded to me.
Often the reasons given for decisions seem counter to what I
consider the more important factor, and I am curious as to why
others made the choice they did. Given the choice between something
that sounded as great as the XK-3 with a key action different to
what I was used to (I like the feel of the XK-3 so this wasn't a
factor for me) and something that had what I considered to be
weaknesses that may very well not be "correctable" but with a key
action similar to what I was used to, I would have made the opposite
decision. I am curious as to why he and maybe others made the
decision he did. Also, occasionally the reason given may be
different from the actual reason ie: I bought the one I did because
I didn't like X about the other one, the fact that the one I bought
was Y hundred dollars less was not the reason.
