Subject:Hammond B-200 effects loop
Hello Everyone,
I was hoping that someone here might have experience with the B-200
Hammond portable. I have one that is paired with the HL-822 solid
state leslie. What I'm doing is taking the (channel 1 (rotary) line
out)
from the organ and passing that signal into an amp modeling effects
pedal then amplifying that signal with an outboard amplified speaker
system. It's giving me some of the warmth and tonal qualities of
the large tall boy leslie I have on my B-3. It has a nice
resonance. What I would like to do is return that signal to the HL-
822 (rotary channel 1) (pin #1) on the leslie cable. I never liked
putting reverb through the rotating horns for that (shimmering
effect) but I'm curious about what this might sound like. I would
also like to be able to control how much of the effect is
reintroduced into the signal path to the leslie. Do I just take
the output of the effects pedal and connect it directly to Pin #1 or
will I fry something by doing that? Any recommendations for this
type of application would be greatly appreciated. Damase
