Subject:OT: Live Recording

Hello CloneWheelers!

I'm asking the Pro's here for suggestions as I have fallen "way behind"
in live digital recording technology.

Instead of dragging out the old reel-reel or moving my computer next to
the Hammond to capture stereo sound, I would like to use some type of
digital recorder and mics (using a mixer if necessary) to record the
music, then transfer it to my computer harddrive to burn a CD.

I would like a reasonable amount of quality in the recording (cassette
not really an option) but don't want to shell out $5k for a gazillion
track workstation!

What would you suggest as a simple, relatively inexpensive device to
record?
