Subject:Finally played an XK3!!

Hey Cloners, I went to Petosa Music in Seattle and played their XK3 yesterday. I am like the last person in this group to play one! Anyway it was hooked up to a couple Mackie studio monitors and a Nord Electro was set up right above it. I thought it sounded awesome right out of the box, no tweaking, no keyclick adjustment, onboard leslie sim. Thinking back on some of the criticisms layed on this instrument from this group I was not expecting to be so impressed. If it sounds good in a music store I know what I could do with it hooked to my rig cranked up! Being there was an Electro parked right above the Hammond I was able to do some good A/B ing. I hadn't played one for a long time. What a great instrument. The XK3 had a deeper, fuller tone in the bass I thought and maybe a bit less realistic leslie sim. I thought the one octave bass split was a bit limiting or maybe I missed something there. Anyway just my opinion for what it's worth.
