Mine did that (along with some other problems), and my local service guy couldn't fix it, so he sent it off to Roland who fiddled around with it and sent it back and it still did it (and the wooden ends got trashed during transport). So, Roland finally sent replacements for every circuit board in the thing (!) and new wooden ends (!) - all for free. So, now it looks and works just like new and has done so for a long time.
