I have it. I've been an Auger fan since 1980, he was a huge
influence on my playing at a formative stage, so the $50 was nothing,
I owe him that and more. However, I didn't learn much from the video
that I couldn't learn just by listening. The process of learning
something by ear is worthwhile in itself, you actually are deprived
of something when you "cheat" by seeing someone's fingers on the
keyboard. On the other hand, Auger is so hyper with some of his
licks, seeing them played at a slow speed might be just what some
folks need. The live footage is really cool, and was the best part
of it for me. The video is very well done. I met Leo Bynum, the
producer. He's just a guy who digs Auger, who made this as a labor
of love and hopes to break even someday.
