Subject:Re: caribbean controls

Dave,
A friend of mine had one. It didn't do that, but the rotors would speed up as the motors got warmer.

I recently installed caribbean speed control in my les 145 kind of on
the fly at the gig 15 minutes before the gig as my slow speed motor on
the top rotor had a bad bearing and I was sick of constant adjusting at
least once a month on 50 year old motors. So i sprung the $259 from
steve at speakeasy and stuck the thing in there with the small motor
still attatched on the top rotor. the thing worked great for 3 hours,
then when on slow speed it would almost stop on the top rotor, bottom
rotor did fine-it had no small motor only the old les fast motor. So has
anyone had any experience with this? I brought the motor home with me
and took the small motor off and ran the big motor for 2 hours -it gets
pretty warm, but seemed ok as I have recently had it apart for maint
etc. thanx for anyones input. dave
