Subject:Re: mini-midi controller?
Hey Jake,
I have a Kurzweil Expressionmate that has a small control box that performs a lot of the
MIDI functions that my PC88 used to do, 4 zones, program and bank changes, etc. I used
it without the ribbon controller just as a small MIDI controller velcroed to my AN1x before
I got the A-70. It had the advantage of letting you name the patches so you could use a
dial to quickly get to the right patch.
Doepler has a similar unit and it looks like it would do the same type of thing although I
haven't read their manual to see if it could do zones or other complex MIDI operations. Its
the R2M Ribbon Controller.
Of course it has the advantage of having a ribbon controller!
