Subject:An XK-3 / XLK MIDI question.

My current configuration is an XK-2 on top of a Yamaha S90. I use
the S90 as a master controller and send bank and program changes to
the XK-2 via a MIDI cable. To make it easier I made myself a chart
that has the PC number for each corresponding preset stored in the XK-
2. I have an new XK-3 on the radar screen for next year and if I can
swing it I thought it would be great to get the lower manual too.

My question is, will I be able to send bank and program changes to
the XK-3 from my S90? The reason I ask is that it appears that when
the XLK is hooked up you are out of MIDI IN ports. I'm a little
confused about how the system is configured. The lower manual sends a
MIDI OUT to an IN port on the XK-3? Is there an IN port on the lower
XLK? Does the OUT port also a THRU port? I thought I would check in
before I spend any money.
