Subject:XK-3 lower keyboard
Hi all,
Hope this hasn't been discussed before:
I found (at least) two different systems on the Web to turn a XK-3 into a dual manual Hammond, probably the closest to a real B3 (excluding the New B3):
1) a lower keyboard with pins where the XK-3 sits on top.
2) a wooden cabinet with lower keyboard where the XK-3 fits in. the end product looks very similar to a B3/C3. Check the Goff Prof web site for example for the latter (I don't know if it'sO.K. to post URL's, so I don't do it until I know I can)
My questions:
Does anyone in this group use these additional Hammond elements with the XK-3?
Is the lower manual as fast as the upper one? (I don't have an XK-3 yet BTW)?
Is it recommendable for the road to go for the B3 style cabinet and support elements?
One more: I am located in Portugal. Anyone knows where I should buy? Hammond Spain perhaps?
Thanks a lot in advance for sharing your ideas/experiences/comments.
Chris
