????Weighted Keys on a VK-7???

I do that stuff all the time, but I couldn't say how I did it until I sat at
an organ. So, I fired up my Farfisa Professional (like Sly's at Woodstock)
and Motion Sound and here's what I found. I use the base of the palm of my
hand. When I do the whole keyboard (like at the beginning of a solo when
you slide up to the first notes), I start low with my right hand with the
fingers pointing to the left of the keyboard. I slam my palm on the bass
notes and slide it up. As I move to the high notes, my hand rotates (with
the palm still on the keys) until at the top my fingers pointing to the
right - ready to hit those first high notes. I also do little smears
between notes or chords just using my fingers and upper palm. It feels
better doing it on my Electro 73 with a lighter action than my VK7 which has
(for no reason that I can figure out) weighted keys. I don't care about
waterfall keys vs. diving-board keys because I do it on the tops of the keys
and not the edge, probably because I really learned how to back in the '60's
with my Wurlitzer Combo Organ with diving-board keys.
