Yes! That is the only way I have done it so far and I
am very comfortable with it. Actually, I have also
done "little" ones occasionally with just my right
hand as I go between chords.

I will definitely try your two-octaves-below
suggestion with the Leslie on. The song I will do it
with on Sunday sounds best with the Leslie on at that
point anyway. I am finding the use of the Leslie is
definitely an art. It seems playing a Hammond clone
is so much more than just hitting the right notes. In
fact, sometimes only one note is necessary - very
different from the piano or synthesizer. When there
is the Leslie control, expresion pedal, and drawbars
to play with, the task of playing with all of them is
awesome and definitely an art. With the piano and
synth, operating the sustain pedal comes quite
naturally to me. But working the expression pedal and
Leslie control is new to me and I am still working on
it. But it is sure sweet!

BTW, I really enjoyed the tunes your band did on
mp3unsigned. I wish I could listen to a steady stream
of good stuff like that. Boy, the talent really
varies on that venue. Yours is definitely at the top.
