Early buzz on the XK3 key-click was that even dialed all of the way off, it was too hot for many. It's more noticeable in headphones or stereo monitors than it is through a Leslie. You can dial it down to your taste, however, by turning the "click" down and turning the "attack" up. My XK is in the studio but if my memory serves, those functions are pretty close to side by side on the menu...
I went back in and dialed mine back up a bit after acquiring a C2 console and falling in love with it.

Subject: [CWSG] XK3 default key click
I was up in Ottawa last weekend, and I had a very short chance to play the XK3 through headphones. I love the way it looks, I love the feel of the keyboard, I even like the Leslie Sim! But the key click was way too much for me. I didn't have a chance to get in and edit it at all, so I'm guessing what I was hearing was the default key click setting. Can it be edited to be significantly quieter than the default?
It is truly an awesome organ.
