Subject:fair CX-3 price

Hey---

I have a pretty good all-purpose setup right now for most keyboard
sounds, but I've been eyeing a used CX-3 (not the vintage version) at a
local outlet of a national chain music store. Every time I visit I
play it, I get lost in its tones, keybed, presets. I play Hammonds in
the studio when recording but this is like a mini-version, just a
fantastic interface overall.

Here's the deal--the CX-3's been sitting out there for at least 6
months, and we all know the story of display keyboards--they just get
beat to heck. But for some reason, to me this one has all the charm of
a vintage Hammond. What's the darn thing worth? New, it's $1700,
right? I've seen 'em on eBay, none less than $1200. D'ya think if I
went in there with $750 cash I'd get it, or have these things held
their value more than that in the used category?
