Subject:Re: Road Leslie/Nord Stage

I really wanted the SE Leslie from Steve Hayes....BAD, however, the shipping plus cost was just too much for my wallet. I settled for a custom SE pre to work for both a 122 or 147 type amp. If money isn't that much of an issue, go for th SE Road Leslie!

Lotsa talk lately about Leslie options. Anyone playing a Speakeasy
Road Leslie? I reckon it's a little bigger and heavier to move around
than an MS Pro-145, but it is portable and IT'S A LESLIE. Built by
Steve Hayes! Wondering why more cloners haven't jumped on this option.
I believe I would if I had the dough and the gigging justification.
And another thing...
The Nord Stage might be an impressive all-in-one unit, but nobody's
talking about the disadvantage of playing it's organ sounds on a
hammer-action keyboard. The Nord's not arousing my gear lust at all.
What works for me is my Yamaha S08 and an XK-3. But I rarely use synth
sounds, I'm so old school...

Keep it swingin'
