From what I know about the Invisible Stands; there are two distinct versions
of the stand. The original stands had a myriad of attachments available for
workstation type situations. The company then disappeared for awhile until
they were bought out by God know who. The second rev of the Invisible was
definitely more simplified in its hardware and design. In my opinion, this
model isnıt nearly as sturdy. A few years ago Music Industries, the
distributor of QuikLok in the US, bought the remaining stands and eventually
sold them to Sam Ash, I believe for pennies on the dollar. There may be a
stand or two left in the Sam Ash Chain, but other that that, itıs eBay or
whatever. I personally sold my to Invisible stands a while back to finance
one of the QuikLok Zeenith stands. They are the ultimate in support and
setup & teardown, but are extremely bulky in transport. Lately, I picked up
a used Apex column and hade a cool pedal stand constructed out of diamond
plate. Itıs my current favorite.
