Subject:Re: Road Leslie vs. Motion Sound Pro145
Eric, I would SERIOUSLY consider the Leslie 2101. I much preferred it to my Pro145, and for the price of a Pro145, you can have a pair of 2101s. You will need to pump the rotary output into your keyboard amp/mixer to augment the low end (as instructed), but it sounds really good.

Hey folks,
Long time no talk. I've been quietly content with my Nord Electro
as the clone of choice for quite some time now. I have not traveled
with a true rotating horn to move air in a few years and I'm
starting to want one on the road again. Can't take my trusty 122
due to size.
I am considering either a road-ready Leslie (ala Speakeasy or
similar) vs. the Motion Sound Pro145. I could actually port over
some of my 122 parts (at least the amp) and get the true tube growl
in a real Leslie that is more portable. But the lower volume and
miking would make it a little bit difficult from a logistics
standpoint.
The Pro145 provides the blistering volume and built-in mikes to make
it easy.
Any recommendations from folks that have used both? I've never used
a Pro145, though I've had several Pro3Ts and a KBRm.
Regards,
Eric
