Subject:WAV editors/ samplers....questions on quality of sounds etc.

Has anyone been accessing any of the newer keyboard sounds using wav
editors or samplers with any success? I am beginning to see some files for sale on
Craigslist and other places that offer sounds from Yamaha Motif and Korg
Triton etc. and was wondering if the quality of those sounds would suffer from
using this format.

Some might argue that using sampling of keyboard sounds is a "rip off" but
I have also noticed there has been sampling of real Hammonds going on for
quite some time and no one seems to be complaining about that.

The main thing is that I am going to be doing quite a bit of work in a
recording studio very soon and would love to have access to some of these
sounds...particularly the Motif sounds which offer excellent electric pianos ...which
I will be needing.
