Tony:

Somewhere I get the feeling you like the XK 3!

I don't think I've ever seen you address an issue that does separate the XK3 from bothe the original B 3 and the "New B 3 and B3P- the matter of the number of contacts beneath each key. Presumably that would be 2 for the Xk 3 (to have velocity sensing, 9 for the B3, and 10 for the new B 3's.

There has to be a difference or Hammond wouldn't put the new and expensive 10 contact system into the higher priced line.

Thinking about it I find it hard to believe that the multiple contacts could really have a noticeable effect on how the organ plays or the sound. That is other than to the extent that the multple contacts are said to be reponsible for the unduplicateable (with any accuracy) of the keyclick- which every clone builder attempts to furnish.

I'm sure that there must be differences, but assume they are mainly noticeable (and therefore important) to the player.

Since you and Joey D and Tony are doing a fair amount of gigging with the XK 3- Howzaboudit!

Harold

Hey, get a summer outdoor roomy gig for Hello Dave near your home and mine and post it so I can be there!
