Subject:Re: double tier stands
OTOH, I am a big fan and user of QuikLok. I've just uploaded a picture
of my rig as it looked in 2004 to the "Files" section. It's called
rig2004.jpg and is located in the "Rigs" folder (clever, eh?).
As you can see, I use two QuikLok stands in my live rig -- a QL-610
for my BX-3 and a QL-746 and QLX-2 second tier for my Yamaha S90 and
Roland Fantom. Since then, I have replaced the Fantom with a Yamaha
Motif ES7. Everything runs thru a Yamaha MG 10/2 mixer, which if you
look closely enough you can see velcroed in the X of the stand under
the S90. I use 2 Wharfedale EVP-12PM powered wedges to monitor myself
onstage. When we play on smaller stages, I leave the BX-3 in the
trailer and use a Roland VK-8M MIDIed to the Motif.
I've been very satisfied with the QuikLok stuff. It sets up very
quickly and is rock solid. I also have two more of the QL-746s with
add-on tiers at home under my practice gear.
