I have a recording of Jimmy Smith and Joey, live, called "The Skeezer"...?
Recently, during my runs, I've listened to it almost daily in headphones.
It's a good quality recording, and I've wondered what Joey is playing, too.
It certainly sounds great, but it seems to have a little more bite, a little
thinner on the high notes, and the percussion sounds a bit more shrill than
the instrument that Jimmy is playing.

Of course, they both sound great, the recording is jaw-dropping, and Joey D
would sound great on a Target Casiotone, blind-folded, right hand behind his
back.

I once saw Bobby Lyle with Young-Holt. He was playing a Farfisa into a Twin,
and it was amazing.
