Subject:Re: Leslie 145 Review

Howdy, everybody, I had to chime in here:
Normally, I play my VK77 thru a 760 Leslie, and it sounds pretty
great. In a fit of GAS sometime back I picked up a beat up 147 as
well, but haven't used it as much because with one of the bands I've
played with, I need all the volume I can get, and the 760 is louder.
Anyway, I broke out the 147 for the first time in a long time for
rehersal last night and OMG WHAT A DIFFERENCE (yeah, I'm yelling
too!) The warmth, beef, and butter coming out of that thing was
really something, everybody commented on how good it sounded. Just
goes ta show ya the difference between tubes and transitors!
Happy spinning
