Subject:Online gear purchase?

Has anyone bought gear from RiksMusic.com, Riks Music? They have a
deep discount price on a piece of gear I want, but I'm wondering if
this is one of the online stores that practices selling customer
returns and factory repacks, or older units with system upgrades
as "brand new." I asked a salesman if the item would be "new in an
unopened box." He said, "Well, they come all the way from Japan;
sometimes we have to repack them." Hmm..? TIA for any info ~ Walter
