Subject:VK-8/CX-3 -- still on the fence...


After reading the new Keyboard mag shootout, I'm still on the fence
between the VK-8 and CX-3. Keyboard seems to like them both, but
they never seem to talk about exactly how the two compare. I played
the new CX-3 (prior to OS & keyboard upgrade), and I owned a VK-8 for
3 months (prior to the OS upgrade). Basically, this is a shot in the
dark. I am trying to make a decision based on features at this point
because I have nothing to go on as far as sound (NOBODY in the
Washington DC area carries either board).

Is there any consensus as to which keyboard is the best? The VK is
slightly ahead in the running at this point because of the extra
sounds (which I do need live). However I don't want to buy something
that's inferior in the organ department.
