You need to connect both the Rotary Left/Mono and the
Stationary/Rotary Bass Left/Mono outputs to the the bass amp. If you
only connect the Rotary L/M out, you don't get the really deep bass
the XK-3 is capable of. The right outputs are for when you use two
lower units and one upper unit. The way the lower unit is set up,
you could mic the upper unit and connect the mic to input one of the
second lower unit. Another option, is to connect the XK-3 to the
Leslie 21 System via the Leslie Cable, and connect the Left/Mono out
of the XK-3 to a second lower unit and use both the Leslie and the
digital Leslie. Also, if you play the Leslie 21 really loud, and
have it connected to the bass amp, set the little 3 position switch
to Bass & Sta. Mute, it will keep you from blowing out the speakers
in the upper unit.
When using the 1/4" in, the upper unit splits the frequencies, and
sends them to the correct speakers/outputs. The really low
frequencies are sent out the Stationary output.
