Subject:Re: "Korg G4- Lesliesimulator"
After investigating the G4 (by comparing it to the CX3 internal sim)
I came to the conclusion, that the difference is not the algorithms
used - CX3 is better, but the G4 can still be tweaked to get a usable
sound. Put the virtual mics closer, and the vibrato decreases, less
stereo spread hepls too, and so on. I guess the reason why the G4
sounds worse is the cheap AD-converters they used that mess up the
sound.
So whoever wanted a CX3-type standalone sim would have to pay a lot
for a high quality digital product w/ great converters, stable
wordclock,..
(To Gregg: Couldn`t hear any difference whether I used both inputs or
just L/MONO)
Btw, I know the sound they`re all after from my C3/Leslie 145.
