Subject:Re: Leslie 25 / Electro...Pictures: NEED HELP
Ok....I started a new folder in the files section of our group, but I can only load on pic, which I have done. If someone can help me figure out how to shrink the file size of my pictures, I can load not only a sidebyside view of the Orpheus conversion next to a full size 122 (which I've done), but a bottom view, middle and top view as well to show where I put the parts.

Yes, I've done it. Twice actually. I still use them both. You basically need to gut that leslie. None of it will do you any good. If you are frugal and find everything you need, you'll be in for about $700, not counting your initial purchase. You need a pair of 2speed motors, a plastic horn, horn driver, crossover, 15" speaker, 40w 122 amp, and enough carpentry skills to build a shelf for the upper rotor assembly and to cut louvres. The only useful part of the Orpheus for this project is the cabinet itself. Don't spend more than $50 if the cabinet is in EXCELLENT condition. That model leslie is worthless, and the parts inside are of no value to you.
I'll attach a few pics of one of mine.....it's sitting next to a full size leslie, so you can see that it's actually worth the effort and expense; enough so that I have flight cases for both of my Model 25s.

I own a nord electro.
I've been looking for an affordable leslie for awhile, and I
happened across a good condition Leslie 25 (The Orpheus), one speed
speaker. (This particular one has the amp inside and works.)
Few questions for the group here, before I go plunk $200 on her.
Thanks in advance for your replies.
1. What do I need to connect the electro to this leslie? It has a
6 pin connection.
2. Has anyone had success converting a single-speed leslie to a
dual speed? Please let me know how you did so, and a ballpark
figure of what the conversion cost.
Thanks guys, I really do appreciate it.
