Hmm...
Well y'know I'm starting to get a tad curious about the "scientific
discussion" part of this.

Where's these posts wherein science is contained? Ok, my server has
bounced a couple, but I didn't seem to find any in the archives either.

I mean, you're right, there's experts and there's experts. I'd be
absolutely fascinated to hear some science on this topic. Ok, I'm no
acoustician, but Euler and Lighthill are not beyond my grasp (eventually
;-). That seems to me to be the big problem on MANY of these lists is
lack of hard science.

Anything handy you'd care to share?
