Subject:Re: Hammond XK-3...my two bobs worth.
I for one do not even care what a V5+ sounds like since it has no keyboard
or the familiar
B3 user interface. A B3 is both physical and aural.
My A-101 with Leslie 122 will arrive on Friday hopefully.
I will set my XK-3 with Leslie 145 side by side.
If the A-101 sounds better I think I will just %$#@ in my pants!
Because the XK-3 through a Leslie sounds sooooo good!
However, I fully believe that I will like the A-101 better because
all of the physical stuff including those 25 pedals.
But the XK-3 with a Leslie is not something that needs any apology.
However, I still gig with the XK-3 and MS Pro-145 and it doesn't
sound bad either :-)
I am still keeping my Electro 2 - 73, I have kinda gotten attached to
it and when I just want something light to go for a quick jam it's the
ticket.
Sadly, I will be putting my Korg CX3 on Ebay as well as my
KBRM. Both in mint condition. If any is interested make me
an offer before I put them on Ebay.
But, if the V5+ turns your tonewheel, I wish you all the best.
Different tonewheels for different gearheads :-)
