Subject:Re: CX-3 with Korg NX5R sound module

Go into the "System" of the module. (That's assuming Korg's nomenclature is the same as most other manufacturers.) Once in System, go to midi....there should be a parameter for Rec (receive) Bank Select....turn it off; then there should be Rec Patch Select....turn IT off. Then you'll be fine. The CX3 as well should have similar messages in its "System" menu....you'll want to disable TRANS Bank Select, and TRANS Patch.

Hi Everybody,

I've got a simple but annoying problem. Sometimes I need to use the
CX-3 as a masterkeyboard with a Korg NX5R (almost the same as NS5R)
module for Rhodes sounds. It works, but when I change programs on
the CX-3, it always changes the actual patch in the NX5R. The
problem: I don't know, how to configure the CX-3 to not SEND program
change messages, OR how to configure the NX5R to not RECEIVE program
change messages. I've read the manuals of both, but I haven't found
anything about this. Can anyone help, please?
Thanks in advance!
