This should not be an issue. OMNI is a mode for receiving MIDI messages on
all channels. Transmission would be a horror show - you would have to send
16 note on/off messages for each single note sent.

OMNI is the "no brainer" way to connect a controller to a module and not be
bothered w/setting channels for transmit and receive. It simply means
"listen on all (16) channels and respond to any channel".

Without knowing XK3 specifics, what you generally want to do is
1) Set the receive channel on the XK3 - in this case, for the lower
manual - to its own MIDI channel and make sure it is NOT the same as the
channel for the upper manual.

2) Set the transmitter - in this case, the M-audio keyboard - to the same
channel.

3) Test and modify settings - Set your drawbar settings on the upper and
lower manual to be audibly different - say 888800000 and 000088888. Or have
only percussion on your upper manual, no drawbars at all. This way you can
tell which manual is getting triggered and keep making changes and
adjustments.

Also, make sure the pedal channel is also separate.
