What youıre describing is the QuikLok WS-550. Itıs the base unit for the WS
line of add-ons that allows one to add additional tiers, monitor bases,
music stand, etc.
Itıs a fairly stable platform thatıs height adjustable while allowing you to
manipulate the legs into a variety of positions. They also make the WS-540
which is a smaller version of the 550. I use a WS-540 to place my SKB rack
on which I then place one of my Barbettası on top of the rack. The Italian
made QuikLok products are usually very reliable and last for years upon
years.
The premium QuikLok keyboard stand is their Zeenith series. The Z-71 and
the two tier version, the Z-72 are the most stable keyboard platforms you
will ever experience. They are even amazingly stable at heights for the
standing player. The only downside is they are still a little bulky even in
their folded positions for transport. Highly recommended.
