Well, my Motion Sound Pro3T/LoPro decided at last nights gig that it
wasn't gonna run at slow rotational speed no mo'. I'm inept with
schematics, so our EE drummer is perusing the speed change pedal as I
type. But I borrowed a dusty Spin II from a friend this morning, and
spent about 15 minutes seeing if it could stand in for the MS combo
at tonight's gig.

It cannot.

BTW discussion of the noise imparted by the Spin II is moot, in my
opinion. (I heard none).

Despite changing rotational speeds and trying vainly to get SOME kind
of 'accel' lag between slow and fast spin, I found the Spin II simply
too phasey or 'lobe-y' to be used in any circumstances. I'd rather
deal with a MS at full stop than listen to this bad lumpy
phasing 'rotation'.
