The Leslie sims in clones don't exhibit this-

That's why they don't sound the same!

But seriously- in some respects I like the design of the innards and being down to two motors with positive belt adjustments but-

Probably not much cure for that slow speed, it may be inherent with the motor turning that slow by whatever electrical non geared down method they use.

As with every redesign of something that was pretty da-- good- something gets the backward improvement-
Like my latest Ram pickup compared to its immediate predecessor- and nevermind the other manufacturers followed suit in "Supersizing" the height of the box from the ground- etc.

OTOH I heard a *rumor* once, and have not noticed a followup that perhaps some "upgrade" may happen. Yeah! If anyone knows of such holler back.

They certainly still are a great speaker IMO.
