Subject:Way OT - sampling question


My son's band (www.raymondrock.com) just had some gear stolen and two
of the things were the computer and keyboard for their live show. It
was a vey cheap keyboard but they were using it to fire off sequences
with samples they had recorded. The samples and sequences were in the
computer. The computer was backed up but their live show is toast
until they come up with a solution.

Since sampling has been around for awhile I'm wondering if there is a
reasonable sampling keyboard that we can pick up on ebay.

Can anyone suggest something? It would be nice to have a keyboard
that actually did the sampling and then let you play it back using a
prerecorded sequence. Can you tell that I don't know much about
sampling? Anything up to $1000 used would be worth considering.

If a keyboard can't do it all, what would be a good sampling module?
