Subject:Sustain problem with my CX-3 (v. 2)


I'm wondering if anyone has ever had this problem with their CX-3:
30 minutes into a gig, all of a sudden notes will automatically
sustain, as if I am holding down the sustain pedal. The only way to
fix it is to kill the power or disconnect the sustain pedal and
reconnect it. This can be very frustrating in the middle of a
song. The problem is becoming increasingly frequent and is now
occuring 3 or 4 times per show.

I'm using a VFP1 sustain pedal that is supposed to be compatible
with Korg products (says so on the box!). It's a basic and cheap
pedal, but I still don't think it should be doing this. I changed
out my original CX-3 with a new one because I thought there was
something wrong with the board, but I'm having the same exact
problem with this one too.

The "sustain problem" typically doesn't happen at indoor gigs. I'm
thinking it might be humidity that's effecting the unit (I live in
Florida), or maybe the pedal is flawed. Anyone have any thoughts?
I wanted to put the feelers out there before I try the next logical
step and buy another pedal, either another cheap one or an upgrade.
