It's true. I hurt my back last weekend pulling my 14yr old off the roof through a bathroom window (helping me clean gutters, but he was really afraid of coming down the ladder). This weekend we had a bbbbaaddddddd flight of stairs, and I said I'd leave the leslie in the trailer. "F THAT MAN! It sounds great and it looks cool." At which point he grabbed somebody else and hauled it up the stairs.

Now that's my guy!

this is the right attitude. in order to get the sound you need to haul the
right stuff. if you're really into playing, moving the necessary equipment is
part of the fun and any other band members should be grateful you've invested in
the equipment and can play it, to help you lug anything up and down stairs,
what have you.
