Have you tried tweaking the mids on the XK3? The XK3 has parametric
eq for the mids, it's sweepable from 480 Hz to 2.9 KHz. I've tied it
on mine and it definitely fattens it up when you boost at 480 Hz. I
just run mine flat though, it seems to be very close to my 56 B3
that way.
