Steve,

I guess I don't feel like I have to do that (run the
B4 through the XK-3 and A/B them that way). I knew the
difference the moment I ran the XK-3 through the 147
for the first time. I knew the difference right away
and so did my drummer. I don't need a blindfold test
to tell me anything. My ears already rendered the
verdict!

The Xk-3 cuts through the mix but doesn't do it in a
shrill way.

As far as subdued sounds go...838000000 sits nice in
the mix and doesn't sound too aggressive to me.
