The problem with using loops is that your stuck with a fixed
invariant snapshoot. A true model will vary the nuances of a digital
oscillator over time in ways which are not consistant with fixed
loops. Remember the first sampled instruments... how great they
sounded when we first heard them... and how quickly we grew tired of
them.
