1. My favourite Hammond simulator is the Nord Electro . I like the overall sound. Because of its lightweight design and good onboard leslie sim, I have made exceptions to the fact that it is about as far as one can get from a Hammond "lay-out."

Playing the Electro I do miss the authentic DBs and knobs of the Hammond design. However, I had to make exceptions and to me what was the most important was overall sound on stage and to the audience, which is why I went with the Electro.Also, if the organ was my main instrument I would most likely go with a more authentic 'playing-feeling' clone.

At one point when I had the Electro and the CX3, I used the CX3 to slave the Electro Rack using the DBs and ch/vibrato on the CX3 to run the Electro, but that was kind of overkill.

If the Hammond XK-3 had a better leslie sim, I think I would buy it. I think it is a great design taking the Korg CX-3 " lay-out" one step further. However, because I have no plans at this point for carrying around a leslie I will stick with the Nord Electro.

I DO have plans to pick up a leslie to use at home. In that case, I would at this point get the XK-3 as it is probably the best out there ( at this time).
