Subject:OK lets decide for ourselves which is the best organ on the market.

1. My favourite Hammond simulator is the Korg BX3 (BECAUSE IT
SOUNDS GREAT, AND IT'S AN AFFORDABLE DOUBLE MANUAL CLONE)
2. I use a Leslie with this clone, a souped up 147
3. I do not use a Leslie with this clone, (but the Korg leslie
effect is GREAT when I am unable to use my leslie)
4. I use a valve(tube) preamp. YES Speakeasy
5. I own a B3 or console organ and a Leslie at present.Yes
6. I have owned a B3 or console organ and Leslie in the past Yes
7. I have never owned a B3 or console organ or a Leslie. No.
8. I own a Hammond...but it is a model- I also own an M3
9. I own a Leslie, it is a Leslie - I also own a 120 with the M3
10 I have never owned a Hammond or Leslie at any time in the past No

Frankly, I'm not sure why were doing this exercise, but I will
participate... my question is... are we doing this because Hammond
has come out with the new XK3 and now we're all feeling insecure
about ourselves and our clone choices...?? If that's the case this
is pretty silly!! If you think that the keyboard you buy today is
still going to be the biggest and the best 2-3 years from now you're
dreaming!!

I see and hear all the hype about the new Hammond XK3, and I would
fully expect that when they bring out a new product like this, it's
going raise the bar a little bit... Does that mean we all have to
run out and buy the newest thing... I don't think so! Even the
crappy Keyboard magazine shootout/blowout said these clones are all
within 95% of each other...it's all a matter of taste,
functionality, keyboard layout etc... There isn't a "best" organ on
the market, however there is a "best for me" organ, and everyone
needs to decide for themselves which organ is.... best...for...them.

For my money, until they come out with an affordable double manual
version of the XK3, you won't see me trading in my BX3! I love the
feel, the functionality, the keyboard layout, the double manuals,
the fexibility, the look etc. etc. etc. I've had a half dozen real
hammond A/B/C's over the years and I know hammmonds very well... and
the BX3 is GREAT, and it really saves my back!
