Subject:Best Clone Poll

Hi All,

Rather than take up list bandwidth, it is possible to create a poll in the dedicated Polls area to gather this data. I don't know if all list members can create a poll, but certainly the moderators can.

Whether you will actually discover the "best" clone through this method, however, is open to interpretation. If there is enough participation, from all corners of the list, you'll likely find the MOST POPULAR clone -- but that's not the same thing. The most popular vehicle in the US (or elsewhere) isn't necessarily the best vehicle; it's often the best-MARKETED vehicle. And if I'm a contractor, electrician, or landscaper, the fact that the "best" vehicle is say, a Toyota Camry is irrelevant to my needs. I need a pickup or a van.

The same thing is true of beer, blue jeans, or perfume. Most popular and best aren't necessarily related. And sometimes, there is more than one "best" product, because customer needs and tastes vary.
