If you set the Midi Input Parameter for lower manual and pedals,
whatever is plugged into the pedal/MIDI 1 Input will trigger the
pedal tones. Channel doesn't matter. If the MIDI Input PArameter is
set for MIDI1 and MIDI 2, then you have to assign a channel for the
pedals that would be different from the one assigned to the lower
manual. Here is a copy of the manual: http://www.suzuki-
music.co.jp/en/pdf/Xk3v101e.pdf . George Smith's Music Center:
http://www.georgesmithmusic.com/ carries the XK-3 as well as the
whole current Hammond line and rebuilt Tonewheel Hammond's. They are
about 1 1/2 - 2 hours from Dayton. They are also the people who work
on Tony Monaco's organs. I bought my XK-3 and Leslie 21 System from
them, and they are very nice people to work with.
