Subject:Re: XK-3 with LESLIE 2101 NEED HELP !!! please !!!

Do you have both the upper and lower units or is the upper unit
connected to another amp? If so, you need to connect both the
Stationary/Rotary Bass and Rotary outputs to the lower unit. The
very low frequencies are sent out the stationary output and not the
rotary output. Make sure the XK-3 is set for 2 or 3 Channel Leslie
(the default is 1 channel Leslie). Check both of the small
potentiometers in the two little holes, if you bought it opened from
a store someone may have "adjusted" them. Also, if you have the
lower unit you might try setting the little switch to Bass &
Stationary Mute, this turns off the little speakers in the upper
unit so they won't be damaged when playing loud. Also, do a reset of
the Leslie 2101 (Press & hold the memory button and power on) in
case someone adjusted some parameters. If you run a MIDI cable from
the XK-3 to the Leslie 2101, the mod wheel acts as a variable speed
control for the leslie. The fast and slow buttons on the XK-3 / the
kick switch on the expression pedal still function as they should,
but the mod wheel allows you to pick speeds in between or ramp
up/down more slowly.

I hope this helps. I'm not sure what you mean exactly. Does the
sound change when going from slow to fast or from on to off? There
can be a difference in volume when the on (middle) button is off and
you are pressing the brake (left) button on and off. That takes some
tweaking of the stationary volume on the 2101.
