Yes, the XK3 really does benefit from the Speakeasy....the tube inside the Xk3 helps, but the Speakeasy really brings out the qualities that make the XK3 so satisfying, from really fattening up the sound, to adding just the right amount of grind when you want it.

As for interfacing with a leslie...You would get the 1122 kit from Hammond...it's a box the size of a Big Mac container, has an AC cord, and an 11-pin input and a 6pin pigtail that will connect to your leslie. It works, but doesn't sound nearly as good as the Speakeasy. However, it will let you use your on-board leslie controls (fast and slow, and brake only if your leslie does have a brake). Speakeasy I believe offers that as an option on their new preamps too.
