Ah, truer words have never been spoken. Before I blew out my ears, I was an
audiophile. Folks used to ask me, "What stereo equipment should I buy." "Hell,"
I told them, "go to the store and try them out. What sounds good to you is
what you buy." The only worthwhile assistance I could offer was to direct them
to stay away from poorly made equipment and/or warn them of companies with poor
customer service, etc. The bottom line - let's not force objectivity upon a
subject that is (and always will be) truly subjective. Pick the clone that
sounds good to you and go with it! Greatness of sound is in the ear of the
beholder! Thanks to those kind enough to post sound bytes for all of us to enjoy. Let
each individual listener decide what sounds best to them! It's not about
right and wrong, its about personal taste!
