I can verify this from personal experience. I was once playing a bar
in Baton Rouge, and Edgar came in with a couple of musician buddies.
We played "Mama Shake Your Ass Off" for him, whereupon I dragged him
up on stage to show the DIY modular synth that I had built. Edgar said
that he was so blind that one of the big reasons he used the Arp 2600
was because he could see the position of sliders better than the knobs
on most other synths.

After our set was over, we went out drinking and bar hopping with
them. Edgar was very friendly and unassuming - a super guy.
