>Yes I know this has been discussed by everyone at great lengths but my question is; are the JBL Eons some of you guys use the G2 models or the cheaper ones with like 130 watts woofer and 70 watts tweeter or something. I am thinking of selling my MS KP200s for more power and wondered if the cheaper Eons are plenty powerful for keyboard amplification. I would be getting two to remain in stereo. Thanks boys &girls. Not looking for a long thread discussing speakers again just a verification.-

Since my last kbd related purchase was a KP100S which I believe has added a lot to my sound by virtue of being way better for acoustic piano and electric piano reproduction- an immediate noticeable improvemont- ... you might be stepping or leaping backward to switch. John Fisher of Motion Sound plays piano and designed his keyboard speaker line to do that well. Most other speakers- including the Eons are designed as PA speakers. The 100 and 200 have had good reviews from keyboardists.

I'm sure the Eons have plenty of power for their ratings and *many* people have them.

I presume you are aware that both the KP100S and 200S will sound best to the performer if placed in front of or behind rather than to the side, because of their stereo and spatial enhancement features. They will of course do a pretty good job of filling a room- just that to the performer they will be better if aimed right.

But that's not what you want to hear- you want change.

Just like I presumed that I'd be replacing my KC500 and instead replaced my older Roland 6 speaker stereo unit.

Also expected that what I needed was a Barbetta, and it absolutely failed to improve on anything. I have wondered if the speaker was faulty out of the box- others love 'em.
