I've tried them all, and owned almost all of them, and it is my opinion that
both the Alex and the Reflex have better sounding reverbs than the LXP-1 and
LXP-5. The Alex and Reflex are very low-cost, no-frills units, but the sound
of both is excellent. The LXP-1 reverbs are much more ringy, digital, and
metallic sounding. Of course, the LXP-5 is not really known for its reverbs --
It's more of a multi-effect box for delays/flangers/pitch shifts/etc. -- but for
the purpose of this discussion, it's important to note that it has the worst
reverbs of all of the units mentioned.

BYW, another unit that really packs a lot of value and sound quality for the
price is the new Behringer reveb unit, the REV2496. An amzing box -- about
$279 (or less)new.
